### sec.49 Criteria
The matters that must be considered in deciding whether to approve a proposed initial work program include the appropriateness of the tenderer’s proposed work program, having regard to each of the following—
the potential of the proposed area of the authority to prospect for petroleum discovery;
the extent and nature of the proposed petroleum exploration;
proposed geological, geophysical or geochemical surveying
the number of petroleum wells the tenderer proposes to drill, and their type
when and where the tenderer proposes to carry out the exploration.
The matters mentioned in subsection (1) are the work program criteria .
(sec.49-ssec.1) The matters that must be considered in deciding whether to approve a proposed initial work program include the appropriateness of the tenderer’s proposed work program, having regard to each of the following— the potential of the proposed area of the authority to prospect for petroleum discovery; the extent and nature of the proposed petroleum exploration; proposed geological, geophysical or geochemical surveying the number of petroleum wells the tenderer proposes to drill, and their type when and where the tenderer proposes to carry out the exploration.
(sec.49-ssec.2) The matters mentioned in subsection (1) are the work program criteria .
