### sec.427 Requirement to consult if construction affects existing pipeline or infrastructure
This section applies if a public road authority proposes to construct or change a public road in a way that is likely to affect the location, operation or safety of—
a pipeline; or
infrastructure constructed in the carrying out of a stated pipeline licence incidental activity.
The authority must give the relevant pipeline licence holder a notice stating—
details of the proposed road or proposed change; and
that the holder may, within a stated period, lodge submissions to the authority about the proposal at the office of the authority stated in the notice.
The stated period must not end before 30 business days after the notice is given.
Before deciding to implement the proposal, the authority must consider any submissions lodged by the holder within the stated period.
If the authority decides to implement the proposal, it must give the holder notice of the decision.

(sec.427-ssec.1) This section applies if a public road authority proposes to construct or change a public road in a way that is likely to affect the location, operation or safety of— a pipeline; or infrastructure constructed in the carrying out of a stated pipeline licence incidental activity.
