### sec.402 Licence may extend transportation right to other prescribed substances
A condition of a pipeline licence may extend its holder’s right under section 401 to operate any pipeline in the area of the licence to include the transportation of either of the following substances—
a GHG stream;
a substance prescribed under a regulation.
However, a substance may be prescribed only if it is similar to petroleum and is suitable for transportation by the pipeline.
The condition may impose restrictions on the extended right.

(sec.402-ssec.1) A condition of a pipeline licence may extend its holder’s right under section 401 to operate any pipeline in the area of the licence to include the transportation of either of the following substances— a GHG stream; a substance prescribed under a regulation.
