### sec.394 Surveying activities
A survey licence holder may enter the area of the licence to—
investigate and survey its potential and suitability for the construction and operation of pipelines or petroleum facilities; and
identify possible pipeline routes and pipeline or petroleum facility access routes.
The carrying out of activities mentioned in subsection (1) is subject to—
section 6 ; and
chapter 5 ; and
the mandatory and other conditions of the licence; and
any exclusion or restriction provided for in the licence on the carrying out of the activities; and
the relevant environmental authority for the licence.
Also, the carrying out of particular activities on particular land in a survey licence’s area may not be authorised following the taking of the land under a resumption law. See section 30AB .
