### sec.297 Relationship with chs 2 and 5 and ch 15 , pt 3 and the Common Provisions Act
Requirements and restrictions under this chapter apply as well as any relevant requirements under chapters 2 or 5 or chapter 15 , part 3 or the Common Provisions Act .
If this chapter imposes a requirement for or a restriction on the granting, renewal, division or transfer of a petroleum tenure, the tenure can not be granted, renewed, divided or transferred if the restriction applies or if the requirement has not been complied with.
If this chapter imposes a requirement for or a restriction on the carrying out of an authorised activity for a petroleum tenure or data acquisition authority, despite chapter 2 , the activity is not an authorised activity for the tenure while the restriction applies or if the requirement has not been complied with.
If a provision of this chapter conflicts with a provision of chapter 2 or 5 or chapter 15 , part 3 or the Common Provisions Act , the provision of this chapter prevails to the extent of the inconsistency.
