### sec.281 Requirements for drilling petroleum well
A person drilling a petroleum well must comply with any requirements prescribed under a regulation that apply to the drilling of the well.
Maximum penalty—500 penalty units.
If a corporation commits an offence against this provision, an executive officer of the corporation may be taken, under section 814A , to have also committed the offence.
The requirements may include provisions to prevent the drilling adversely affecting the carrying out of safe and efficient mining or future mining of coal under the Mineral Resources Act .
