### sec.136 Function and purpose
The development plan for a petroleum lease or proposed petroleum lease (the relevant lease ) gives detailed information about the nature and extent of activities to be carried out under the relevant lease.
The development plan may—
also relate to another petroleum lease or proposed petroleum lease if the other lease or proposed lease relates to the relevant lease; and
provide that when the plan is approved it will replace any development plan for the other lease.
The purposes of giving the information are to—
allow resource management decisions to be made; and
ensure appropriate development of the lease.
(sec.136-ssec.1) The development plan for a petroleum lease or proposed petroleum lease (the relevant lease ) gives detailed information about the nature and extent of activities to be carried out under the relevant lease.
