### sec.107A Application for special amendment
The holder of an authority to prospect may apply to the Minister to approve an amendment (a special amendment ) of either or both of the following—
the operation of the relinquishment requirements for the authority to prospect;
the work program for the authority to prospect.
However, the holder may apply for the special amendment only if the special amendment is necessary because of—
an exceptional event affecting the authority; or
circumstances arising from the authority forming part of an exploration project.
The application must state the event mentioned in subsection (2) (a) , or the circumstances mentioned in subsection (2) (b) , and how the event or circumstances justify the special amendment.
The application must be accompanied by the prescribed fee.
