### sec.101 Area of authority to prospect reduced on grant of petroleum lease Land ceases to be included in the area of an authority to prospect if a petroleum lease is granted over the land. If a petroleum lease is granted over all of the area of an authority to prospect, the authority ends. See however chapter 3 , part 4 , division 3 (Exceptions to particular area provisions). s 101 amd 2011 No. 2 ss 121 , 122 sch (sec.101-ssec.1) Land ceases to be included in the area of an authority to prospect if a petroleum lease is granted over the land.
