### sec.1005 Existing applications for renewal of authority to prospect
This section applies to an application under section 82 for renewal of an authority to prospect made, but not decided, before the commencement.
If the application does not include all of the information required under new section 45 for a proposed later work program for the renewed authority, the applicant may, within 3 months after the commencement, give the chief executive the information not included.
The proposed later work program provided by the applicant under section 82(1)(d), and any additional information provided by the applicant under subsection (2), is taken to be a proposed later work program for the renewed authority to prospect for new section 84.
New section 84 applies in relation to the application whether or not the applicant provides information under subsection (2).
To remove any doubt, it is declared that, if the applicant does not provide information under subsection (2), the Minister must decide, under new section 84, whether to approve the proposed later work program provided by the applicant under section 82(1)(d) as the later work program for the renewed authority to prospect.
