### sec.45A Continuing effect of lease for renewal application This section applies if, before the application is decided, the term of the lease ends. Despite the ending of the term, the lease continues in effect until the earliest of the following to happen— a renewed term of the lease starts; a refusal of the application takes effect; the application is withdrawn; the lease is cancelled under this Act. For the lease being taken to have a development plan until a decision has been made on whether to approve a proposed development plan, see section 53D . If the lease is renewed, subsection (2) is taken never to have applied for the period from the end of the term of the lease being renewed, as stated in that lease. s 45A ins 2021 No. 18 s 5 (sec.45A-ssec.1) This section applies if, before the application is decided, the term of the lease ends.
