### sec.157 Environmental conditions prevail
This section applies from 31 December 2004 for a condition (the petroleum condition ) of a 1923 Act petroleum tenure if there are relevant environmental conditions for the tenure.
The petroleum condition ceases to have any effect if it is the same, or substantially the same, as any of the relevant environmental conditions.
If the petroleum condition conflicts with any of the relevant environmental conditions, the environmental condition prevails to the extent of the inconsistency.
In this section—
relevant environmental condition s, for a 1923 Act petroleum tenure, means the conditions of any relevant environmental authority for the tenure.
