### sec.150 Declaration about certain 1923 Act petroleum tenures
This section applies to a 1923 Act petroleum tenure, (a petroleum interest ) granted before or after the commencement of this section for hydrocarbons naturally occurring in association with coal ( coal seam gas ).
To remove any doubt, this Act applies, and is taken always to have applied, to the petroleum interest as if coal seam gas were petroleum.
Without limiting subsection (2) and to further remove any doubt—
the power of the Governor in Council or the Minister under this Act to grant an authority to prospect includes, and is taken always to have included, power to grant an authority to prospect for coal seam gas; and
the power of the Governor in Council or the Minister under this Act to grant a lease includes, and is taken always to have included, power to grant a lease for coal seam gas to the holder of an authority to prospect.

(sec.150-ssec.1) This section applies to a 1923 Act petroleum tenure, (a petroleum interest ) granted before or after the commencement of this section for hydrocarbons naturally occurring in association with coal ( coal seam gas ).
(sec.150-ssec.2) To remove any doubt, this Act applies, and is taken always to have applied, to the petroleum interest as if coal seam gas were petroleum.
(sec.150-ssec.3) Without limiting subsection (2) and to further remove any doubt— the power of the Governor in Council or the Minister under this Act to grant an authority to prospect includes, and is taken always to have included, power to grant an authority to prospect for coal seam gas; and the power of the Governor in Council or the Minister under this Act to grant a lease includes, and is taken always to have included, power to grant a lease for coal seam gas to the holder of an authority to prospect.
- (a) the power of the Governor in Council or the Minister under this Act to grant an authority to prospect includes, and is taken always to have included, power to grant an authority to prospect for coal seam gas; and
- (b) the power of the Governor in Council or the Minister under this Act to grant a lease includes, and is taken always to have included, power to grant a lease for coal seam gas to the holder of an authority to prospect.
