### sec.176 Registrar of court to give report
For a review under section 171 or 172 , the court may direct the registrar of the court to give to the court—
reports provided by the chief executive (corrective services) or the chief executive of the department in which the Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011 is administered or such other similar persons or bodies as the court considers appropriate; and
such other reports as the court considers appropriate.
A person who is requested by the registrar to give to the registrar reports mentioned in subsection (1) must comply with the request.
Reports mentioned in subsection (1) (a) are to be relevant to the period from the time the indefinite sentence was imposed on the offender or the last review was made by the court.
The Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011 , section 142 (1) , does not apply to a designated person under part 7 of that Act who gives a report or information to a court or the registrar of the court for this part.
Reports mentioned in subsection (1) are in addition to any other evidence that may be placed before the court.
