### sec.161M Process for issuing or amending certificate
This section applies if a court, or the proper officer of a court, issues a serious drug offence certificate under section 161G or amends a serious drug offence certificate under section 161I , 161J or 161K .
The proper officer must as soon as reasonably practicable—
place a copy of the issued or amended certificate on the court file; and
give a copy of the issued or amended certificate to the offender; and
give 2 copies of the issued or amended certificate to the director of public prosecutions.
The director of public prosecutions must give 1 copy of the issued or amended certificate to the Crime and Corruption Commission.
A copy of a certificate required to be given under subsection (2) or (3) may be given electronically.
