### sec.183 Authorities under former Act about national parks
An authority given or made under section 33 or 35 of the former Act and in force immediately before 19 December 1994 is taken to have continued in force until it expires, or is earlier terminated, under its terms.
The former Act, other than the power to extend or renew the authority, continues to apply to the authority as if this Act had not been enacted.
For applying subsections (1) and (2), the chief executive is taken to be the director of national parks and wildlife under the former Act.
A reference in the authority to the director is taken to be a reference to the chief executive.
In this section—
authority means an agreement or a lease or permit or other authority.
former Act means the repealed National Parks and Wildlife Act 1975 .
