### sec.136 Confidentiality of information
The chief executive may declare information acquired in the administration of this Act to be confidential information if the chief executive is of the opinion that disclosure of the information may result in an unreasonable level of risk to the wellbeing of a cultural or natural resource or critical habitat.
If, while performing duties under, or in relation to, this Act, a person gets—
confidential information; or
information obtained under section 129 or 135 ;
the person must not, whether directly or indirectly, disclose or make use of the information except to the extent necessary to perform the person’s duties under or in relation to this Act.
Maximum penalty—165 penalty units.
In this section—
this Act includes the Acts repealed by this Act.
