### sec.112 Minister may prepare management plan
This section applies to—
an area mentioned in section 111 (1) ; or
an area that is an aggregation of areas assigned a name under section 64 .
The Minister may prepare a management plan for the area if the Minister is satisfied it is appropriate in the circumstances having regard to the following—
the importance of the area’s natural or cultural resources and values;
any significant or particular threats to the area’s natural or cultural resources and values;
any significant public interest concerns for the area’s natural or cultural resources and values;
the nature of any proposed commercial or recreational uses of, and opportunities for, the area and the proposed management of those uses.
The Minister may after the declaration of a nature refuge, other than under section 49 , prepare a management plan for the area of the refuge if the landholder of the area agrees.
A management plan for a national park (Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal land) or an Indigenous joint management area must—
be prepared jointly with the Indigenous landholder for the protected area; and
be consistent with any Indigenous land use agreement, and the Indigenous management agreement, for the protected area.

(sec.112-ssec.1) This section applies to— an area mentioned in section 111 (1) ; or an area that is an aggregation of areas assigned a name under section 64 .
(sec.112-ssec.2) The Minister may prepare a management plan for the area if the Minister is satisfied it is appropriate in the circumstances having regard to the following— the importance of the area’s natural or cultural resources and values; any significant or particular threats to the area’s natural or cultural resources and values; any significant public interest concerns for the area’s natural or cultural resources and values; the nature of any proposed commercial or recreational uses of, and opportunities for, the area and the proposed management of those uses.
(sec.112-ssec.3) The Minister may after the declaration of a nature refuge, other than under section 49 , prepare a management plan for the area of the refuge if the landholder of the area agrees.

- (a) be prepared jointly with the Indigenous landholder for the protected area; and
- (b) be consistent with any Indigenous land use agreement, and the Indigenous management agreement, for the protected area.
