### sec.11 Meaning of ecologically sustainable use
Ecologically sustainable use is—
in relation to wildlife—the taking or use of the wildlife; or
in relation to protected areas—the use of the areas;
within their capacity to sustain natural processes while—
maintaining the life support systems of nature; and
ensuring that the benefit of the use to present generations does not diminish the potential to meet the needs and aspirations of future generations.
- (a) in relation to wildlife—the taking or use of the wildlife; or

- (d) ensuring that the benefit of the use to present generations does not diminish the potential to meet the needs and aspirations of future generations.
