### sec.100K Local government’s statement of management intent This section applies if a local government is lawfully dealing with protected wildlife in the local government area, other than under a wildlife authority. The Minister may, by written notice, require the local government to prepare and publish a statement of management intent for the protected wildlife, within a reasonable period stated in the notice. The notice may require that the statement of management intent include stated information. The local government must, within the stated period— prepare a statement of management intent for the protected wildlife; and publish the statement on the local government’s website. The statement of management intent must include— any information required under subsection (3) ; and any information prescribed by regulation.
