### sec.27 Compensation
Under the Commonwealth Native Title Act , native title holders are, subject to that Act, entitled to compensation for any extinguishment under this part of their native title rights and interests.
However, the native title holders are entitled to compensation only to the extent, if any, that the native title rights and interests were not extinguished otherwise than under this Act.
The compensation is payable by the State.

(sec.27-ssec.1) Under the Commonwealth Native Title Act , native title holders are, subject to that Act, entitled to compensation for any extinguishment under this part of their native title rights and interests.
