### sec.29 Transitional regulation-making power
The Governor in Council may make a regulation (a transitional regulation ) providing for any matters of a saving or transitional nature for which it is necessary to make provision to allow or facilitate the change from the operation of the Electricity Act or Gas Supply Act, as in force before the commencement, to the operation of the NERL (Qld).
A transitional regulation may have retrospective operation to a day not earlier than the commencement.
A transitional regulation must declare it is a transitional regulation.
A transitional regulation expires 3 years after the day the regulation commences.
The Acts Interpretation Act 1954 , section 20A, as applied by the Statutory Instruments Act 1992 , section 14, applies for the expiry.
