### sec.33 Eligibility for chattel auctioneer licence
An individual is eligible to obtain a chattel auctioneer licence only if the individual—
is at least 18 years; and
has the educational or other qualifications for a chattel auctioneer licence approved by the chief executive.
The qualifications are stated on the department’s website.
An individual is to be taken to satisfy the requirement mentioned in subsection (1) (b) if the chief executive is satisfied the individual—
has a qualification comparable to the qualification mentioned in subsection (1) (b) ; or
within 2 years before the day the individual’s application for a chattel auctioneer licence is received by the chief executive—
has been licensed as a chattel auctioneer; or
has been the holder of an auctioneer’s licence granted under PAMDA .
A corporation is eligible to obtain a chattel auctioneer licence only if a person in charge of the corporation’s business is a chattel auctioneer.

- (a) is at least 18 years; and
