### sec.224 Continuing false representation—tampered with odometer
This section applies, in any proceeding, if there is evidence ( relevant evidence ) that a person intentionally tampered with or replaced the odometer of a motor vehicle so that it showed that the vehicle at that time—
had not travelled the distance shown on the odometer before it was tampered with; or
had travelled more than the distance shown on the odometer before it was tampered with.
The distance shown at any time afterwards on the odometer is evidence of a false representation by a person at that later time that—
if the relevant evidence relates to subsection (1) (a) —the vehicle had not travelled more than the distance shown on the odometer; or
if the relevant evidence relates to subsection (1) (b) —the vehicle had travelled more than the distance shown on the odometer.
