### sec.157 Suitability of applicants
A person is not a suitable person to hold a registration certificate if the person is—
a person who has been convicted, in Queensland or elsewhere, within the preceding 5 years of a serious offence; or
currently disqualified from holding a licence or registration certificate; or
a person the chief executive decides under section 158 is not a suitable person to hold a registration certificate; or
subject to a relevant control order.
An individual who is not a suitable person can not obtain registration as a motor salesperson.

(sec.157-ssec.1) A person is not a suitable person to hold a registration certificate if the person is— a person who has been convicted, in Queensland or elsewhere, within the preceding 5 years of a serious offence; or currently disqualified from holding a licence or registration certificate; or a person the chief executive decides under section 158 is not a suitable person to hold a registration certificate; or subject to a relevant control order.
(sec.157-ssec.2) An individual who is not a suitable person can not obtain registration as a motor salesperson.
- (a) a person who has been convicted, in Queensland or elsewhere, within the preceding 5 years of a serious offence; or
- (b) currently disqualified from holding a licence or registration certificate; or
- (c) a person the chief executive decides under section 158 is not a suitable person to hold a registration certificate; or
- (d) subject to a relevant control order.
