### sec.100 Functions of site safety and health committee
A site safety and health committee has the following functions—
to facilitate consultation and cooperation between management and workers in initiating, developing and implementing management of risk from operations;
to encourage an active interest in safety and health matters at the mine;
to review the circumstances of injuries, illness and high potential incidents, and recommend appropriate action;
to consider any proposed changes to operations that may reasonably be expected to affect the control of risk, and make appropriate recommendations;
to carry out inspections;
to consider matters referred to the committee by a safety and health representative;
to help in the resolution of safety and health issues;
to perform other functions to promote safety and health.
