### sec.336A Appointment—authorised persons
The chief executive may, by instrument in writing, appoint an appropriately qualified person as an authorised person to carry out a function mentioned in section 342 (1) (a) (i) .
An authorised person has the powers of an authorised officer mentioned in 342(1)(a)(i), (f) and (g).
Sections 337 , 338 and 339 apply to an authorised person as if a reference to an authorised officer in those sections included a reference to an authorised person.
