### sec.335C Failure to comply with compliance direction
A person to whom a compliance direction has been given must comply with the direction unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
Maximum penalty—500 penalty units.
If a corporation commits an offence against this provision, an executive officer of the corporation may be taken, under section 412B , to have also committed the offence.
If the direction states steps the person may take to remedy the contravention, or avoid the likely contravention, the subject of the direction, the person is taken to have complied with the direction if all the steps have been taken.
Subsection (2) does not prevent the person from complying with the direction in another way.
