### sec.318BV Additional ground for refusing application
This section applies if—
a coal or oil shale mining lease application is made in response to an invitation given under the Petroleum and Gas (Production and Safety) Act , section 323 ; and
the application is made within 6 months after the giving of the invitation.
For a coal or oil shale mining lease application not made within the 6 months, see the Petroleum and Gas (Production and Safety) Act , section 326 (No mining lease application).
The Minister may refuse the application if satisfied the applicant has not, in a timely manner, taken any step in relation to the application required of the applicant under chapter 6 or this chapter.
Subsection (2) does not limit another ground for refusing the application under chapter 6 or this chapter.

(sec.318BV-ssec.3) Subsection (2) does not limit another ground for refusing the application under chapter 6 or this chapter.
