### sec.239 Restriction on mining leases if land is released from exploration permit
This section applies if an area of land is released from an exploration permit.
However, this section applies only for the period—
starting when the land is released; and
ending 2 months after the end of the month in which the land is released.
A person can not apply for, hold or have an interest (direct or indirect) in, 1 or more mining leases over the released land if the total area of the mining leases is more than 300ha.
In this section—
released , for land the subject of an exploration permit, means the land stops being the subject of the permit.

(sec.239-ssec.1) This section applies if an area of land is released from an exploration permit.
(sec.239-ssec.2) However, this section applies only for the period— starting when the land is released; and ending 2 months after the end of the month in which the land is released.
(sec.239-ssec.3) A person can not apply for, hold or have an interest (direct or indirect) in, 1 or more mining leases over the released land if the total area of the mining leases is more than 300ha.
