### sec.197 Application for renewal of mineral development licence
The holder of a mineral development licence may, within the renewal period, apply to the Minister for a renewal of the licence.
The application must be—
made in the approved form; and
accompanied by the fee prescribed under a regulation; and
accompanied by a statement—
describing the program of work proposed to be carried out under the authority of the mineral development licence, if renewed; and
detailing the estimated human, technical and financial resources to be used to carry out activities under the mineral development licence during each year of the term of the mineral development licence, if renewed; and
detailing the applicant’s financial and technical resources for carrying out the activities under the mineral development licence, if renewed.
In this section—
renewal period means the period that is—
at least 6 months, or any shorter period allowed by the Minister in the particular case, before the current term of the licence expires; and
not more than 1 year before the current term expires.

(sec.197-ssec.1) The holder of a mineral development licence may, within the renewal period, apply to the Minister for a renewal of the licence.
(sec.197-ssec.2) The application must be— made in the approved form; and accompanied by the fee prescribed under a regulation; and accompanied by a statement— describing the program of work proposed to be carried out under the authority of the mineral development licence, if renewed; and detailing the estimated human, technical and financial resources to be used to carry out activities under the mineral development licence during each year of the term of the mineral development licence, if renewed; and detailing the applicant’s financial and technical resources for carrying out the activities under the mineral development licence, if renewed.
(sec.197-ssec.3) In this section— renewal period means the period that is— at least 6 months, or any shorter period allowed by the Minister in the particular case, before the current term of the licence expires; and not more than 1 year before the current term expires.
- (a) made in the approved form; and
- (b) accompanied by the fee prescribed under a regulation; and
- (c) accompanied by a statement— (i) describing the program of work proposed to be carried out under the authority of the mineral development licence, if renewed; and (ii) detailing the estimated human, technical and financial resources to be used to carry out activities under the mineral development licence during each year of the term of the mineral development licence, if renewed; and (iii) detailing the applicant’s financial and technical resources for carrying out the activities under the mineral development licence, if renewed.
- (i) describing the program of work proposed to be carried out under the authority of the mineral development licence, if renewed; and
- (ii) detailing the estimated human, technical and financial resources to be used to carry out activities under the mineral development licence during each year of the term of the mineral development licence, if renewed; and
- (iii) detailing the applicant’s financial and technical resources for carrying out the activities under the mineral development licence, if renewed.
- (i) describing the program of work proposed to be carried out under the authority of the mineral development licence, if renewed; and
- (ii) detailing the estimated human, technical and financial resources to be used to carry out activities under the mineral development licence during each year of the term of the mineral development licence, if renewed; and
- (iii) detailing the applicant’s financial and technical resources for carrying out the activities under the mineral development licence, if renewed.
- (a) at least 6 months, or any shorter period allowed by the Minister in the particular case, before the current term of the licence expires; and
- (b) not more than 1 year before the current term expires.
