### sec.173 Fees payable generally This section applies to an application for a permission authorising the conduct of a commercial activity in the GBR Coast Marine Park if the applicant also conducts the commercial activity in the Commonwealth marine park. Subject to this division, the fee payable under the Act for an application for the permission is the amount worked out by— using the formula stated in subsection (3) to work out an approximate fee; and rounding down to the nearest $10. If after applying the formula under subsection (3) , the approximate fee is $1,216, the fee payable is $1,210. The approximate fee is the amount worked out by using the following formula— where— A is the approximate fee payable. F is the fee stated for the activity in schedule 3 . CPI is the all groups consumer price index for Brisbane published by the Australian Statistician for the most recent financial year to end immediately before the calendar year in which the application is made.
