### sec.116 Regulatory information notice This section applies if a regulatory notice for a marine park or a part of a marine park does not expressly state that a contravention of a requirement of the notice is an offence against the Act and the penalty for the offence. The chief executive must erect or display, at the relevant notice points for the area of the marine park or part to which the regulatory notice applies and other places the chief executive considers appropriate, a notice (a regulatory information notice ) expressly stating— that a contravention of the requirement of the regulatory notice is an offence against the Act ; and the penalty for the offence. The regulatory information notice must be easily visible to persons passing the relevant notice points. The chief executive must publish a copy of the regulatory information notice, or the information contained in it, on the department’s website. The chief executive may publish the regulatory information notice in other ways the chief executive considers appropriate. The regulatory information notice may be included on a sign that also includes a regulatory information notice applying to— a protected area under the Nature Conservation Act 1992 ; or a recreation area under the Recreation Areas Management Act 2006 . The regulatory information notice may contain other information about the marine park the chief executive considers appropriate.
