### sec.65 Receipts and other records If site rent is paid in cash, the person receiving the payment must give the person making the payment a receipt for the payment as required under this section. Maximum penalty—10 penalty units. If site rent is paid by cheque and the person making the payment asks for a receipt when making the payment, the person receiving the payment must give the person making the payment a receipt for the payment as required under this section. Maximum penalty—10 penalty units. The receipt must be signed by the person receiving the payment. The receipt must be given to the person making the payment— for a payment made personally and in cash—when the payment is made; or for a payment made in cash but not personally—before the next business day after the day the payment is received; or for a payment made by cheque—within 3 business days after the day the payment is received. The park owner for a residential park must, for a payment of site rent by a home owner— make an electronic or written record of the payment (the site rent payment record ); and if asked by the home owner, give a copy of the site rent payment record to the home owner within 7 days after the request is made. Maximum penalty—10 penalty units. However, the site rent payment record is not required to be made if— the site rent payment is made in cash; or the site rent payment is made by cheque and a receipt is given for the payment. A receipt given for, or a site rent payment record made of, a payment of site rent must state the following— the name of the home owner for the site for which the payment is made; sufficient particulars to identify the site; the date the payment is received; the period for which the payment is made; the amount of the payment; that the payment is a payment of site rent.
