### sec.20 Conduct of meetings
A question at an advisory committee meeting is to be decided by a majority of the votes of the members present and voting.
Each member present at the meeting has a vote on each question to be decided and, if the votes are equal, the presiding member has a casting vote.
If a member becomes aware that the member has a conflict of interest in relation to a matter before the advisory committee, the member must—
disclose the issue giving rise to the conflict to the advisory committee; and
take no further part in the consideration of the matter.
However, a failure to disclose a conflict of interest does not, of itself, affect the advisory committee’s consideration of the matter or any transfer recommendation made in relation to the matter.
Subject to this part, the advisory committee may conduct its meetings in any way it considers appropriate, including, for example, by permitting its members to take part in its meetings by using any technology that reasonably allows members to hear and take part in discussions as they happen.
