### sec.119 Show cause notice for related agreement
This section applies if, after considering the information given to the Minister about a related agreement and, if appropriate, the contents of the agreement, the Minister believes the continuance of the agreement—
may jeopardise the integrity of the conduct of lotteries by the lottery operator who is a party to the agreement; or
may affect the public interest adversely.
The Minister must give the lottery operator who is a party to the agreement a written notice (a show cause notice ) that—
states the Minister proposes to take action to direct the termination of the agreement (the proposed action ); and
states the grounds for the proposed action; and
outlines the facts and circumstances forming the basis for the grounds; and
invites the lottery operator to show within a stated period (the show cause period ) why the proposed action should not be taken.
The show cause period must be a period ending at least 21 days after the notice is given.
The Minister must promptly give a copy of the show cause notice to each other person (an interested person ) who is a party to the agreement.
An interested person may make representations about the notice to the Minister in the show cause period.
The Minister must consider all written representations (the accepted representations ) made during the show cause period by the lottery operator or an interested person.
