### sec.107 Lottery records to be kept for required period
A primary licensee must keep a lottery record—
in the case of a record relating to an unclaimed prize—for 7 years after closure of the lottery; or
in the case of any other lottery record—
if it relates to a lottery for which the only prize, or all prizes, are paid or given on 1 day—for 5 years after that day; or
otherwise—for 5 years after the last day on which a prize or part of a prize in the lottery is paid or given to the person entitled to it.
The prize for a lottery consists of a particular amount paid to the prize winner at the end of each year for 20 years. A lottery record for the lottery must be kept for 5 years after the day the last payment is paid.
Maximum penalty—40 penalty units.
Subsection (1) does not apply to a lottery record if the information previously contained in the record is kept in another way under an approval of the chief executive.
Also, subsection (1) does not apply to a lottery record that has been destroyed under an approval of the chief executive.
Subsection (1) has effect subject to any other law about the retention or destruction of the lottery record.
