### sec.289 What this part is about
This part is about the register of interests of the following persons—
a councillor;
a chief executive officer;
a councillor advisor;
a senior executive employee;
a person who is related to a councillor, chief executive officer, councillor advisor or senior executive employee.
A person is related to a councillor, chief executive officer, councillor advisor or senior executive employee (the primary party ) if—
the person is the primary party’s spouse; or
the person is totally or substantially dependent on the primary party and—
the person is the primary party’s child; or
the person’s affairs are so closely connected with the affairs of the primary party that a benefit derived by the person, or a substantial part of it, could pass to the primary party.

(sec.289-ssec.1) This part is about the register of interests of the following persons— a councillor; a chief executive officer; a councillor advisor; a senior executive employee; a person who is related to a councillor, chief executive officer, councillor advisor or senior executive employee.
(sec.289-ssec.2) A person is related to a councillor, chief executive officer, councillor advisor or senior executive employee (the primary party ) if— the person is the primary party’s spouse; or the person is totally or substantially dependent on the primary party and— the person is the primary party’s child; or the person’s affairs are so closely connected with the affairs of the primary party that a benefit derived by the person, or a substantial part of it, could pass to the primary party.
- (a) a councillor;
- (b) a chief executive officer;
- (c) a councillor advisor;
- (d) a senior executive employee;
- (e) a person who is related to a councillor, chief executive officer, councillor advisor or senior executive employee.

- (b) the person is totally or substantially dependent on the primary party and— (i) the person is the primary party’s child; or (ii) the person’s affairs are so closely connected with the affairs of the primary party that a benefit derived by the person, or a substantial part of it, could pass to the primary party.
