### sec.267 Chairperson of committee
A local government may appoint a chairperson of each committee.
If the local government does not appoint a chairperson for a committee, the committee may appoint 1 of its members as chairperson.
If the chairperson is not present at a meeting, the members present may appoint a chairperson for the meeting.
(sec.267-ssec.1) A local government may appoint a chairperson of each committee.
