### sec.157 Evidence of land record
In any court proceedings in which the liability for rates or charges is relevant, a certified extract of the land record is evidence that—
the valuation recorded in the extract was properly made; and
the information about the rates or charges recorded in the extract is correct; and
the person recorded in the extract as the owner of the land is liable to pay the rates or charges levied on the land.
In this section—
A certified extract is a document that—
purports to be a copy of an entry in the land record; and
is certified by the chief executive officer to be a true copy of the entry in the land record.
(sec.157-ssec.1) In any court proceedings in which the liability for rates or charges is relevant, a certified extract of the land record is evidence that— the valuation recorded in the extract was properly made; and the information about the rates or charges recorded in the extract is correct; and the person recorded in the extract as the owner of the land is liable to pay the rates or charges levied on the land.
(sec.157-ssec.2) In this section— A certified extract is a document that— purports to be a copy of an entry in the land record; and is certified by the chief executive officer to be a true copy of the entry in the land record.
- (a) the valuation recorded in the extract was properly made; and
- (b) the information about the rates or charges recorded in the extract is correct; and
- (c) the person recorded in the extract as the owner of the land is liable to pay the rates or charges levied on the land.
- (a) purports to be a copy of an entry in the land record; and
- (b) is certified by the chief executive officer to be a true copy of the entry in the land record.
