### sec.118 When rates or charges must be paid
A local government must decide the date by which, or the period within which, rates or charges must be paid.
The date by which, or the period within which, the rates or charges must be paid must be—
at least 30 days after the rate notice for the rates or charges is issued; and
subject to part 10 , the same date or period for each person liable to pay the rates or charges.
The local government must, by resolution, make the decision at its budget meeting.
(sec.118-ssec.1) A local government must decide the date by which, or the period within which, rates or charges must be paid.
(sec.118-ssec.2) The date by which, or the period within which, the rates or charges must be paid must be— at least 30 days after the rate notice for the rates or charges is issued; and subject to part 10 , the same date or period for each person liable to pay the rates or charges.
(sec.118-ssec.3) The local government must, by resolution, make the decision at its budget meeting.
