### sec.65 System of voting
The system of voting at an election, other than an election of a mayor of a local government, is—
for a local government area divided into single-member divisions—optional-preferential voting; and
in any other case—first-past-the-post voting.
The system of voting at an election of a mayor of a local government is optional-preferential voting.

(sec.65-ssec.1) The system of voting at an election, other than an election of a mayor of a local government, is— for a local government area divided into single-member divisions—optional-preferential voting; and in any other case—first-past-the-post voting.
