### sec.29 Effect of multiple nominations
A person can not, at the same time, be a candidate for election as—
mayor of a local government and as another councillor of the same local government; or
a councillor of a local government for more than 1 division of the local government’s area.
If, at noon on the nomination day, a person is nominated as a candidate in contravention of subsection (1) , each of the nominations is of no effect.
(sec.29-ssec.1) A person can not, at the same time, be a candidate for election as— mayor of a local government and as another councillor of the same local government; or a councillor of a local government for more than 1 division of the local government’s area.
(sec.29-ssec.2) If, at noon on the nomination day, a person is nominated as a candidate in contravention of subsection (1) , each of the nominations is of no effect.
- (a) mayor of a local government and as another councillor of the same local government; or
- (b) a councillor of a local government for more than 1 division of the local government’s area.
