### sec.105 Arrangements for fresh election
This section applies if—
the Governor in Council gives effect to a recommendation by the Minister to dissolve a local government under the Local Government Act 2009 , section 123 (3) (b) (i) ; or
The dissolution does not take effect until it is ratified by the Legislative Assembly under the Constitution of Queensland 2001 , section 75 (2) .
a fresh election is required under a regulation implementing a recommendation of the change commission under the Local Government Act 2009 , chapter 2 , part 3 .
The day on which a fresh election is to be held must be a Saturday.
The provisions of part 4 apply, with all necessary changes and any changes prescribed by regulation, to the fresh election as if the election were a quadrennial election.
