### sec.90BA Approval to make major policy decisions in exceptional circumstances
This section applies if a local government considers that, because exceptional circumstances exist, it is necessary and in the public interest to make a major policy decision during a caretaker period for the local government.
The local government may apply to the Minister for approval to make the major policy decision during the caretaker period.
The Minister may give the approval if the Minister is satisfied that, because exceptional circumstances exist, it is necessary and in the public interest for the local government to make the major policy decision during the caretaker period.
The approval may be given on conditions with which the local government must comply.
Despite section 90B , the local government may make the major policy decision in accordance with the approval.

(sec.90BA-ssec.1) This section applies if a local government considers that, because exceptional circumstances exist, it is necessary and in the public interest to make a major policy decision during a caretaker period for the local government.
(sec.90BA-ssec.2) The local government may apply to the Minister for approval to make the major policy decision during the caretaker period.
