### sec.87 Community forums
This section applies if an indigenous regional council establishes a community forum for the council or, if the council is divided, any of its divisions.
A community forum is a body established by an indigenous regional council to be responsible for meeting with the local community to discuss issues relating to—
trust land; and
planning; and
the delivery of services; and
culture.
The local community is the community living in the local government area or division for which the community forum is established.
A community forum is made up of—
a chairperson, who is the councillor for the division; and
at least 3, but not more than 7, appointed members.
The indigenous regional council must publish the following information—
the name of the community forum;
the names of the members of the community forum.
The information must be published—
on the indigenous regional council’s website; and
in other ways the council considers appropriate.
The indigenous regional council must decide all matters necessary for the operation of its community forums.
