### sec.39 What this division is about
This division is about beneficial enterprises that are conducted by a local government.
This division does not apply to a business unit of a local government.
A beneficial enterprise is an enterprise that a local government considers is directed to benefiting, and can reasonably be expected to benefit, the whole or part of its local government area.
A local government is conducting a beneficial enterprise if the local government is engaging in, or helping, the beneficial enterprise.
(sec.39-ssec.1) This division is about beneficial enterprises that are conducted by a local government.
(sec.39-ssec.2) This division does not apply to a business unit of a local government.
(sec.39-ssec.3) A beneficial enterprise is an enterprise that a local government considers is directed to benefiting, and can reasonably be expected to benefit, the whole or part of its local government area.
