### sec.37A Regulation of sex work A local government must not make a local law that prohibits or regulates sex work or the conduct of a sex work business. A local law has no effect to the extent that it is contrary to this section. In this section— sex work means the provision by a person of the following services for payment or reward— services involving the person participating in a sexual activity with another person; services involving the use or display of the person’s body for the sexual arousal or gratification of another person. sex work business means a business that provides services that include sex work and includes, for example— an escort agency providing services that include sex work; or a home-based sex work business. s 37A ins 2024 No. 23 s 28 (sec.37A-ssec.1) A local government must not make a local law that prohibits or regulates sex work or the conduct of a sex work business.
