### sec.29A State interest check
This section applies if a local government proposes to make a local law other than the following—
a local law that incorporates a model local law;
a subordinate local law.
However, this section also applies to a local law that incorporates a model local law if the local law includes more than—
the model local law; or
any amendment or repeal of an existing local law that would be inconsistent with the model local law.
A local government must consult with relevant government entities about the overall State interest in the proposed local law before making the local law.

(sec.29A-ssec.1) This section applies if a local government proposes to make a local law other than the following— a local law that incorporates a model local law; a subordinate local law.
(sec.29A-ssec.2) However, this section also applies to a local law that incorporates a model local law if the local law includes more than— the model local law; or any amendment or repeal of an existing local law that would be inconsistent with the model local law.
(sec.29A-ssec.3) A local government must consult with relevant government entities about the overall State interest in the proposed local law before making the local law.
- (a) a local law that incorporates a model local law;
- (b) a subordinate local law.
