### sec.260B New convictions must be disclosed
This section applies if a person who holds the office of the assessor, a member of the conduct tribunal or a commissioner of the remuneration commission is convicted of an indictable offence during the term of the person’s appointment.
The person must, unless the person has a reasonable excuse, immediately give the Minister a notice about the conviction.
Maximum penalty—100 penalty units.
The notice must include the following information—
the existence of the conviction;
when the offence was committed;
sufficient details to identify the offence;
the sentence imposed on the person.
The Minister must ensure the notice is destroyed as soon as practicable after it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was given.
